The station Medical Officer (or M.O.) at Biggles' 666 Sqn at Rawlham, Lorton makes a brief appearance in The Adventure of the Luminous Lily. He arrived at the mess and told the pilots there that he had heard on radio that the Japanese had landed in Indo-China. This prompted Ginger to tell the story of the time he was there with Dr Duck, Biggles and Algy.
