In Assignment in Arabia, Abu Ibn Menzil was the brother of the sheikh of El Kafala. Greedy for the money which was expected from oil concessions, Abu murdered his brother and kidnapped his son, Jerid Beni Menzil, from his school in Britain and kept him as a prisoner in El Kafala. Jerid was successfully rescued by Biggles and Miktel and flown to Kuwait, returning later with an escort of R.A.F. aircraft to reclaim his position. The story does not relate what happened to Abu in the end except to say that he fled El Kafala when Jerid returned.
Abu does not appear in person in the story.
