    • Jerry Mortimore suggests that one of the illustrations which Norman Wright requested readers to help identify (see Biggles Flies Again Vol. 3 No. 11 Where was this Cover Used?) could be that of Algy being attacked by Zeroes in Biggles Delivers the Goods but there are two piots in the picture while Algy was on his own.
    • Dermot Lyons writes in response to Mortimore and identifies the aircraft as a Saro Cloud. A Cloud does feature in Biggles in Borneo but there is no mention of it being attacked by Zeroes.
    • Mats Averkvist writes to report that the illustrations Norman Wright inquired about were used on two Norwegian translations of Biggles books published in 1989: Biggles og Inkaskatten (The Cruise of the Condor) and Biggles og den Sorte Fare (The Black Peril).
    • Alison Thompson writes to suggest that, besides the Steeley series, Biggles - Charter Pilot was also a Johns book in first person format. The editor suggests that the Dr Vane series could also be considered.
    • Tim Gurner writes to ask about discrepancies in 1940s era Johns books. The editor explains that this was probably caused by wartime paper shortages. Plates might have been ready for print with an earlier date but could only be actually printed when paper bacame available later.
