In Biggles Works It Out, Georges Pinsard was an Air France pilot on the transatlantic route who met a strange Douglas DC-3 with a tricycle undercarriage over the Atlantic about 3 hours away from the Portugese coast. It carried the CS registration prefix of Portugal. Pinsard told this to Marcel Brissac at the Aero Club de France after hearing another Air France pilot Paul Legendre say he had just met a similar aircraft over the Sahara.
