Kunali

In The Case of the Visiting Sultan, Kunali was an airfield in the Sultanate of Lashanti. The airfield was some twenty miles from Masdu, the capital of Lashanti. Kunali was the main airfield of Lashanti but was later abandoned when an airfield had been cleared at Masdu itself. When Biggles was asked to provide discreet protection for Sultan Oba I'Mobi during his flight from Masdu to London, he decided to set up his base of operations at Kunali. As his plan was to fly a decoy aircraft one hour ahead of the Sultan's, he couldn't be seen using Masdu itself. Kunali, like Masdu and Lashanti, are fictional places.
