Case of the Ambitious Fishmonger is the sixth short story in the sixth anthology of Biggles Air Police short stories entitled Biggles Presses On. The anthology was first published in January, 1958. In the anthology, this story is preceded by The Case of the Haunted Island and followed by The Case of the Fatal Ruby.

Synopsis[]

Biggles investigates a case involving the the transportation of poached salmon by air, a case which, according to Johns, illustrates that "while not all crooks carry guns, there is a type as formidable as those who do."
