The Case of the Old Masters is the second short story in the eighth anthology of Biggles Air Police short stories entitled Biggles Flies to Work. The anthology was first published in September, 1963,

SynopsisEdit

Biggles is asked to investigate an air angle to the theft of some valuable paintings from a gallery. Since there would be no point exhibiting or selling these paintings in Britain or anywhere else where they would be widely known, Scotland Yard suspects that they must be taken abroad, and one of the few practical ways to do it quickly would be by air.
